What to eat?

Wholesome grains — rice, barley, wheat, quinoa, oats, millets (not processed)

Colorful vegetables — eat your rainbow.

Fruits — Whole fruits, no juices

Clean proteins- lentils, pulses, egg, cheese, meat (no no to hormones)

Snacks- nuts, dry fruits, and any homemade snacks.

Avoid white sugar for the first two years. Sweeten the food with jaggery, honey, dates, etc.

No processed foods. Focus on a balanced diet.

Sip water throughout the day.

When to eat?

Have during Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and snack times.

Eat-Play/Work-Sleep — repeat.

Where to eat?

Dining table. Eat meals together with family.

How to eat?

Sit down, eat slowly, chew your food and eat. Have pleasant conversation and make it a happy time. Talk about the food you eat, explain how to eat everything. Avoid watching media while eating, instead play a music in the background.

And the most important note: Walk the talk -Mommy and Daddy, please follow the above step for yourselves, and the baby will follow a healthy eating habit.
